As the Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Białystok informs, on July 14^th the Director of Transportation and Freight Forwarding Centre of the State Forests (ZTiS LP) was assaulted in Giżycko.
Adrian Grzegorz, the activist of Las Naturalny Foundation, came to the Transportation and Freight Forwarding Centre office and asked to speak with director of ZTiS LP in Giżycko about the request for payment which he has received for  blocking the logging equipment in the Białowieża Forest.

Director Jerzy Rosiński agreed to speak with his  guest and invited him to his office. Since the very beginning the conversation was unpleasant. Adrian Grzegorz threatened director Rosiński with EU law regulations and said that he doesn't agree with the request for payment he received. Next Grzegorz tore the notice to pieces and throw it right in director Rosiński's face.
The Director of ZTiS LP in Giżycko immediately showed the activist the door, and then unexpectedly, Adrian Grzegorz hit director Rosiński in the face. After that event director lost his consciousness for a moment.
At the time of the assault the assistant director was present in the office, moreover, other employees of the Centre observed the entire situation through the open door. 
After the incident the attacker attempted to leave director's office, however, he was stopped by the assistant director and the workers of technical department. The police, which were called immediately at the spot, collected the attacker's data and testimonies both of the victim and the witnesses. The case of assault and battery in ZTiS LP in Giżycko will be brought to the court.
Please note that the Director of the Transportation and Freight Forwarding Centre of the State Forests as a head of the SF organizational unit is obliged to act in the best interest of the State Treasury. Blocking the logging equipment causes measurable material losses to the Centre. As the regional unit of the State Forests, ZTiS LP in Giżycko is appointed to conduct forest  management activities in the State Forests. Therefore, the Director of ZTiS LP in Giżycko in agreement with supervisors decided to charge participants of the blockades with costs. The ZTiS LP in Giżycko has sent 78 requests for payment so far. Filing the lawsuit to the court depends on the effects of sent requests.
